Communication from the industry, for the industry: AERO-LIFT Vacuum Technology GmbH
AERO-LIFT Vacuum Technology GmbH plans, develops, produces and sells vacuum lifters and -components with a standard of quality ensured by the "Made in Germany" mark. These vacuum devices, provided by the medium sized business based in Geislingen, have been able to solve various handling issues; including the lifting, moving, pivoting and turning of transportation goods. The vacuum system can be applied to various components, with both smooth and rough surfaces, and with different modes of transport. Although AERO-LIFT occupied an exclusive niche in the market, they found themselves competing with other suppliers who had a relatively large media presence. Contact with the media in the professional field and regular reports on AERO-LIFT had been sporadic, and active outward communication was operated on a small scale only.
The goals:
The long-term strategic communications goal was to strengthen the AERO-LIFT position in the public's perception and build awareness in Germany initially before continuing on an international level. The public work of AERO-LIFT was to standardised and sustained in order to attract more attention to the company itself (especially from trade experts) while also opening up fresh opportunities for new business. Demonstrating a continuous presence in the industry-specific print-media was of particular importance. In addition, the company-specific competitive advantages of AERO-LIFT were to be highlighted, in order to distinguish the company from competitors and thus fill the gap in the market.
The pioneer communications approach:
